The agreement for the total spruce-up of the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Italy, was signed recently between the real estate developer CDS Holding and the Italian professional football clubs Genoa CFC and UC Sampdoria.

It has set the stage for going ahead with the total transformation of the Luigi Ferraris Stadium and the overall urban redevelopment of the area. Not only will the stadium wear a new look but the area skirting it will also get developed. The neighborhood will also get a development push and will become a vibrant place. We want the stadium to be a hub of sports and entertainment and a place where the young crowd can come and let their hair down. We want the ‘Marassi’ to be the soul of Genoa.”

The binding offer will be presented to the Municipality of Genoa by the above two clubs and the real estate firm CDS Holding by the end of March and a public tender procedure will follow.
