ASM Global’s James L. Knight Center celebrated its highest-grossing revenue year since the popular South Florida venue (US) first opened its doors more than four decades ago.

‘ASM Global’ stated that managed by ASM Global, the world’s leading venue management company and producer of live-event experiences, the James L. Knight Center featured a full calendar of live entertainment with more than 35 events in 2022. The venue welcomed more than 140,000 guests resulting in a 16 percent increase in ticket sales, versus 2019, the last fully operating year since the pandemic forced venue shutdowns worldwide.

Los Angeles (US)-based ASM Global is the world’s leading producer of entertainment experiences. It is the global leader in venue and event strategy and management – delivering locally tailored solutions and cutting-edge technologies to achieve maximum results for venue owners. The company’s elite venue network spans five continents, with a portfolio of more than 350 of the world’s most prestigious arenas, stadiums, convention and exhibition centers, and performing arts venues.

The 5,000-capacity James L. Knight Center is a contemporary entertainment and convention complex located in Downtown Miami, Florida (US). Located within the Miami Central Business District, the venue opened in 1982. The complex is named after the famed newspaper publisher, James L. Knight.

For 40 years, the James L. Knight Center has consistently been regarded as South Florida’s most functional entertainment venue for the 2,500 to 5,000 cap market. Managed by ASM Global, the James L. Knight Center continues to welcome the most diverse lineup of world-class artistes of any venue in South Florida and host countless soldout concerts.

‘ASM Global’ further stated that the James L. Knight Center also kicked off the first half of 2023 breaking its record for the most soldout shows in property history with two soldout performances by the Colombian band Morat, ranked No. 65 on the Top 100 North American Tours chart, as well as maximum-capacity performances by internationally acclaimed artistes, including the American rapper Lil Nas X, the Spanish musician Pablo Alborán, the Puerto Rican bandleader Gilberto Santa Rosa, and the Spanish singer Isabel Pantoja.

Said Doug Thornton, Executive Vice-President of Stadiums, Arenas and Theaters, ASM Global, “When ASM Global started managing the James L. Knight Center in 2012, we put together an aggressive strategy to expand event offerings, get more guests through the doors and increase revenue. The team at the venue, together with ASM Global, has worked tirelessly to reach those goals, and we are excited to continue the momentum and make the James L. Knight Center the top entertainment destination in the region.”

Stated Cristina Bruan, Director of Sales and Marketing, James L. Knight Center, “By consistently supporting our promoters’ marketing efforts, implementing special presale offers, running and testing email marketing and social media campaigns, and more, we were able to reach more fans and increase ticket sales. We leveraged Ticketmaster’s distribution partnerships and other resources, exposing the venue to new audiences and fans while also working closely with the key local promoters like Loud and Live who brought in exciting shows such as the Colombian actor Greeicy and Mike Bahía (Colombian singer).”

Loud And Live is a leader in sports, entertainment and marketing. Headquartered in Miami (US), the company operates and has presence across North America, South America and Europe.

The full schedule for 2023 includes a total of 46 iconic shows, from Grammy Award-nominated Brent Faiyaz (American singer), who sold out two shows in just two hours, and the South Korean girl group aespa to the Latin Grammy ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ recipient Emmanuel, Mexican singers Danna Paola and Carlos Rivera, and more.
