Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich (Germany) and its longstanding partner Allianz have extended their association by another 10 years until 2033.

‘FC Bayern’ stated that the Munich-based insurance company has been by the German record champions’ side since 2000, most visibly as the naming rights sponsor of their residence – the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany – and the shirt sponsor of the women’s team.

FC Bayern Munich, Bayern Munich, or simply Bayern, is a German professional sports club based in Munich, Bavaria (Germany). It is best known for its professional men’s football team, which plays in the Bundesliga, the top tier of the German football league system. Bayern is the most successful club in German football history, having won a record 32 national titles, including 10 consecutively since 2013, and 20 national cups, along with numerous European honors.

The Allianz Arena is a football stadium in Munich, Bavaria, Germany with a 70,000-seating capacity for international matches and 75,000 for domestic matches. Widely known for its exterior of inflated ETFE plastic panels, it is the first stadium in the world with a full color changing exterior.

FC Bayern Munich (women) is a German women’s football team based in Munich, Bavaria. It currently plays in the Frauen-Bundesliga, the top women’s league in Germany.

The 2,500-capacity FC Bayern Campus is a sports complex located to the North of Munich, Germany. It was built between 2015 and 2017 on the Northern part of the Fürst-Wrede-Kaserne by football club Bayern Munich to create a central location for the clubs youth teams and women’s team. The construction costs amounted to €70 million.

Allianz is a European multinational financial services company headquartered in Munich, Germany. Its core businesses are insurance and asset management. The company is one of the world’s largest insurers and financial services groups. The company is a component of the Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index.

Allianz SE (Allianz) is a provider of global insurance and asset management services. It offers life and property and casualty (P&C) insurance products, under the Allianz and Euler Hermes brands. The company’s insurance offerings provide coverage for motor, liability, homeowner, accident, travel and assistance, marine, aviation, and transport.

‘FC Bayern’ further stated that the Allianz company name has adorned the unique, world-famous façade of the German record champions’ stadium since its opening in 2005. In addition, the group has been the shirt sponsor of the women’s team since 2013 and accompanied the Women’s Tour as the official partner.

In the future, Allianz will continue to work with FC Bayern to promote young footballers at the Allianz Junior Football Camps at Säbener Straße (Säbener Street) and the FC Bayern Campus. ‘The Reds’ first team squad is also presented at the arena every Summer at the Allianz FC Bayern Team Presentation.

In order to strengthen the financial skills of young professional female athletes, Allianz is introducing the first individual and free financial coaching course for ambitious female athletes aged 18 to 22 for the 2023-2024 seasons. The coaching sessions can be booked online at allianz.com. Among others, the FC Bayern women’s team will benefit from the advice, receiving permanent access to an individual financial coach. There are also plans to expand to other sports and professions later on.
