The professional rugby league club Bradford Bulls (UK) recently announced a significant, multiyear stadium naming rights deal with Bartercard UK – the United Kingdom’s largest business to business trade exchange!

‘BRADFORD BULLS’ stated that Bartercard is a Global Business to Business Network with 55,000 cardholders, where members of the trade exchange purchase products and services.

The Bradford Bulls are a professional rugby league club in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England (UK), and compete in the Championship, the second tier of the British rugby league. The club have won the League Championship (the second highest division of rugby league in Britain after the Super League) six times, the Challenge Cup (knockout rugby league cup competition) five times and three World Club Challenge (an annual rugby league competition between the winners of the Australian National Rugby League and the British/ European Super League titles).

The 26,019-capacity Odsal Stadium (known as the Bartercard Odsal Stadium for sponsorship reasons) in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England (UK), is a multipurpose stadium which serves as the home of the Bradford Bulls Rugby League team.

Northallerton (UK)-based Bartercard is the world’s largest trade exchange. It offers a barter-trading system for businesses to exchange goods and services within a global community. Bartercard enables the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to use Trade Pounds to pay for the exchange of goods and services as part of a global network of businesses.

‘BRADFORD BULLS’ further stated that the people have ‘bartered’ for millions of years, however, Bartercard has modernized this industry by introducing a unique digital currency to form a truly cashless society. Over £425 Million is traded on the Bartercard network each year.

The partnership will see the Odsal Stadium become the ‘Bartercard Odsal Stadium’ in its 90th anniversary year, following its opening in 1934.

Exulted Ian Stafford, Bradford Bulls’ Commercial Manager, “We are absolutely delighted that Bartercard have increased their sponsorship of the Bulls to hold the principal naming rights for our famous Odsal Stadium home. Heading into its 90th year since opening, the stadium still captures the imagination of many visitors and sponsors alike. The deal represents further evidence of the club’s progress on and off the field and I am excited to welcome all our visitors to the Bartercard Odsal Stadium.”

Added Stafford, “On behalf of the club, I would like to thank Chris, Marios and the team at Bartercard UK for their support and sponsorship of the Odsal Stadium and I look forward to seeing how this partnership can develop further over the years.”

Opined Jason Hirst, Bradford Bulls’ Chief Executive, “The decision by Bartercard to back the Bulls at Odsal is a terrific boost to the stadium and undeniable vote of confidence in both the club and the City. This multiyear deal is also testament to the great work and tenacity of our Commercial Manager, Ian Stafford. On behalf of the Bradford Bulls, I would also like to thank Chris, Marios, Ella, and the wider Bartercard UK team for their support and vote of confidence in the club, its ownership team and the wider Bulls family.”

Commented Chris Kirby, Bartercard UK’s Managing Director, “We are thrilled at Bartercard UK to partner with the Bradford Bulls, marking a significant moment by naming the iconic venue as the Bartercard Odsal Stadium in its 90th year. This partnership underscores our commitment to innovation, leveraging our unique digital currency. With over £425 million traded annually on our network, we see immense value in aligning with the heritage and spirit of the Bulls. We extend our sincerest thanks to the Bradford Bulls team for this opportunity and look forward to the growth and success this partnership will bring to both our communities. Here’s to a future of shared achievements and making history together at the Bartercard Odsal Stadium.”
