Selhurst Park Stadium Tour

Prior to the start of the conference, delegates will get to enjoy a tour of the 25,456-capacity Selhurst Park Stadium in London (UK) – home of the Premier League team Crystal Palace F.C. The tour will be conducted on March 21st between 4 pm to 4:45 pm.

The stadium has been designed by Archibald Leitch and opened in 1924. It has hosted international football as well as games for the 1948 Summer Olympics.

London-based design practice KSS’s revised plans for a £100 million revamp of the Selhurst Park Stadium have been approved. The remodeling plans will see the stadium capacity rise to 34,000. Apart from capacity rise, the redecoration will also see the creation of 550m2 of restaurant and retail space.

Chris Woods, Head of Commercial, Crystal Palace FC, UK, and Barry Webber, CCO, Crystal Palace FC, UK, will inform the delegates as part of the venue tour, the ABCs of the Premier League club as well as their home arena – the Selhurst Park Stadium.

Crystal Palace FC Training Academy

From 5:15 pm to 6 pm on March 21st, delegates will again be taken on a tour of the Crystal Palace FC Training Academy.

This major renovation and extension project for Crystal Palace FC provides first-class facilities that locate more than 200 players on a single site for the first time.

The £20m redevelopments have secured Category One status for the club, the highest Academy rating possible. KSS led the project masterplan, architecture and interior design and worked closely with the club alongside the contractors, dome and furniture suppliers and pitch specialists.

The Academy includes 13 changing rooms, a gym and analysis room, alongside a suite of classrooms for the young players to expand the education and welfare provision. Staff workplace facilities include meeting rooms, a boardroom and open-plan offices located alongside a shared central dining and recreation room, all with large terraces that overlook the pitches.

Improvements to the external masterplan include a new indoor dome with a full-size 3G pitch and viewing gallery, a full-size 3G floodlit pitch, a full-size hybrid show pitch with seating for up to 500 spectators, and three additional full-size hybrid pitches.

Throwing light on the Crystal Palace Football Academy during the tour will be Nick Marshall Director, KSS, UK.

Inference

The Crystal Palace F.C. venue tour and the Academy tour will go on to establish that mixed-use facilities have become the norm now. To top it, a futuristic and state-of-the-art Academy is a desirable feature, a kind of double delight.

KSS is not only involved with the refurbishment work of Selhurst Park Stadium but also with the new Academy of the top-flight.

Ice-breaker

From 6 pm to 7:30 pm on March 21st, the ice-breaking evening will be held at the Academy restaurant wherein delegates will get to know each other, feel relaxed in each other’s company and it will be a more meaningful way to start the conference – a kind of conversation starter.

Conclusion

With the above events lined up, the 2023 Coliseum Summit EUROPE promises to pack a punch with the intelligentsia presenting their power-packed presentations. It is sure to have a potent effect on the gathering.
