Finland-based Vepe Oy will supply ice hockey dasher boards for the under-construction UROS Live arena in Tampere, Finland. The construction is all set to be over in December 2021.

The multipurpose arena will enjoy two sets of state-of-the-art ice hockey dasher boards to be supplied and set up by Vepe Oy. Each year, the arena will allow spectators to enjoy domestic hockey for at least 70 matches.

Vepe Oy is a family-based, 85-years-old, world leading ice hockey dasher boards manufacturing company and have manufactured ice hockey rinks since 1976. The company has delivered over 2,000 ice hockey dasher boards and related products and services to 26 countries all over the globe.

Vepe Oy’s ice hockey dasher boards are planned and manufactured in their own factory in Tuusula, Finland, and the same is made from high quality materials.

Hockey rink dasher boards make up the bottom part of the metal framed rink enclosures and are now usually made using high-density polyethylene (HDPE), while the rink shielding that extends above the dasher boards for increased protection consists of either acrylic or tempered glass.

UROS Live will be able to accommodate 15,000 spectators in Tampere, Finland, and will get off the ground in December 2021. An announcement to this regard was made in September this year.

UROS Live will serve as the home venue of ice hockey teams Tappara and Ilves and has also been penciled in to be a host venue for the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championships.

UROS Live Arena in the Tampere Deck promises to provide scintillating experiences. An arena with up to 15,000 seats, a top-class hotel, an international casino, extensive conference and meeting services together with numerous restaurants will also make up for an unparalleled digital experience.

Finland boasts one of the best ice hockey teams in the world, and Tampere has always been a pioneer of the sport. It will be one of the most sophisticated ice hockey arenas in the world and more than 13,000 spectators will be able to watch games at the world-class event arena.

Tappara is a Finnish ice hockey team playing in the Liiga. They play at Tampereen jäähalli in Tampere, Finland. Ilves is a Finnish ice hockey team. They play in the Liiga at the Hakametsä.

Vepe has also won the ice hockey dasher boards bidding process for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, and the ice hockey games will be played in Vepe rinks.
