Davos zondacrypto naming deal fiscal push

The professional Swiss ice hockey team HC Davos (Switzerland) has entered into a naming rights partnership with zondacrypto, a European cryptocurrency exchange platform.

As part of the above deal struck the home ground of the top-flight team – the Eisstadion Davos in Davos, Switzerland – is now known as the zondacrypto Arena.

‘SWISSHOCKEYNEWS.CH’ stated that the above partnership will prove to be a stimulus for the fiscal health of the club.

The Hockey Club Davos is a professional Swiss ice hockey club based in Davos, Switzerland. Davos plays in the National League, the top tier of the Swiss football league system. It is generally referred to by its abbreviation ‘HCD’ by the fans.

The zondacrypto Arena is an indoor arena in Davos, Switzerland. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home arena of HC Davos. It holds 7,080 people of which 3,280 are seated.

Tallinn (Estonia)-based zondacrypto is one of the largest digital asset investment platforms in Europe with over one million users. The company was established in 2014 and it is regulated by the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). ‘SWISSHOCKEYNEWS.CH’ further stated that after being known as the Valliant Arena (2007-2018) the Eisstadion Davos has a new name now – the zondacrypto Arena.

Emphasized Gaudenz Domenig, Chairman of HC Davos’ Board of Directors, “The partnership with zondacrypto is a stroke of luck for the club and Swiss ice hockey. It allows us to lay the foundations for further sporting success and at the same time access to an innovative industry.”

zondacrypto is one of Europe’s largest licensed platforms for trading cryptocurrencies. Founded in 2014, the company has over 1.35 million users. The company is known for its involvement in sports and is already a partner of the Serie A club Juventus FC (Italy), the French-registered Monaco-based professional basketball club AS Monaco Basket as well as a sponsor of the Giro d’Italia (an annual multiple-stage bicycle race primarily held in Italy).
