Fairfield University partners with Van Wagner Image: Fairfield University and Van Wagner

The Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut (US) and the Van Wagner Group announced on July 17th their dynamic multiyear partnership wherein Van Wagner will serve as the exclusive overseer of Fairfield’s Athletic Department’s multimedia rights and select campuswide partnership initiatives.

With a dedicated sponsorship team, Van Wagner aims to increase national brand awareness, while simultaneously generating invaluable opportunities for corporate partners, business collaborators and the enthusiastic Stags fan base. Expanding beyond athletics, Van Wagner will prioritize campuswide prospects, granting businesses access and exposure across campus.

The Fairfield University is a private Jesuit university in Fairfield, Connecticut (US). It was founded by the Jesuits in 1942. In 2017, the university had about 4,100 full-time undergraduate students and 1,100 graduate students, including full-time and part-time students.

New York (US)-based Van Wagner has been connecting brands to sports for over 20 years. Its parent company, the Van Wagner Group, was the largest privately held out-of-home advertising company in the country, responsible for creating some of the most memorable advertising in the world.

Widely recognized for their exceptional growth within the collegiate athletics marketing sector, Van Wagner expertly manages the multimedia rights of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and proudly represents other prominent MAAC member institutions such as the Siena College in Loudonville, New York, and the Rider University in New Jersey.

Edison, New Jersey (US)-based the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is a collegiate athletic Conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. Its current 11 full members are located in the four Northeastern States such as Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Maryland.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a nonprofit organization that regulates student-athletics among about 1,100 schools in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands. It also organizes the athletic programs of colleges and helps over 500,000 college student-athletes who compete annually in college sports. The organization is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The NCAA Division I is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally.
