The Formula One is set to get one of its most unique new viewing points this year with the addition of a lifelike trackside yacht club.

‘THE SUN’ stated that the new addition will feature at the Miami Grand Prix in May in partnership with MSC Cruises who are looking to bring their hospitality experience to race day.

London (UK)-based Formula One (F1) is the highest class of worldwide racing for open-wheel, single-seater formula racing cars run by the Formula One Group and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

Paris (France)-based the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is an international organization with two primary functions surrounding use of the automobile. Its mobility division advocates the interests of motoring organizations, the automotive industry and motor car users in the fields of road safety and traffic circulation. The sport division is a governing body for many international motorsport championships and disciplines, including Formula One.

The Miami Grand Prix is a Formula One Grand Prix which was held for the first time during the 2022 season with the event taking place at the 270,000-capacity Miami International Autodrome which is located around the grounds and private facilities of the 65,326-capacity Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, a suburb of Miami.

The ‘yacht’ will stand at 264ft in length, have a width of 96ft and will be 50ft tall at its highest point.

That includes 32,000 square feet spread across five decksw ith each set to offer “different experiences” for the guests.

Among the amenities included on board are a cocktail bar, a French restaurant and even a swimming pool.

The guests also have the option of heading to the ‘captain’s deck’ for panoramic views of the track, or booking themselves a private spot in one of nine exclusive cabanas.

The yacht club comes as the latest nautical addition to the glamorous race which has had a fake marina next to the track since its inaugural event at the 2022 edition.

The Miami GP President Katharina Nowak highlighted the marina area in a statement announcing the new yacht club and stating the new addition adds to the unique energy of the event.

She said, “In creating the MSC Yacht Club we wanted to elevate that iconic space by providing something even more immersive, refined and connected to racing. With a great partner in MSC Cruises we have curated an outstanding guest experience while staying true to the energy of Miami that makes our race so unique.”

This year’s event will take place between May 1st and 3rd with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri (Australian racing driver) looking to defend his win at the venue from last year.
