The Miami Grand Prix has announced an expansion of the Paddock Club hospitality with a new extension overlooking the Turns 1, 2 and 3 at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens, Florida, United States.

The Miami Grand Prix signed a contract extension with Formula One (F1) to remain on the calendar until 2041.

‘motorsport’ stated that the above major development was officially announced by Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the Miami Grand Prix, during the final panel of the Autosport Business Exchange Miami recently.

The Miami Grand Prix is a Formula One Grand Prix which was held for the first time during the Formula One 2022 season with the event taking place at the Miami International Autodrome.

The 65,000-capacity Miami International Autodrome is a purpose-built temporary circuit around the 64,767-seat Hard Rock Stadium and its private facilities in Miami Gardens, Florida, United States.

The Formula One Group is a group of companies responsible for the promotion of FIA’s Formula One World Championship and the exercising of the sport’s commercial rights.

Paris (France)-based the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is an international organization with two primary functions surrounding use of the automobile. Its Mobility Division advocates the interests of the motoring organizations, the automotive industry and the motor car users in the fields of road safety and traffic circulation. The Sport Division is a governing body for many international motorsport championships and disciplines including Formula One.

Tiered Seating

‘motorsport’ further stated that stretching from the start/finish straight down to Turn 1 the new 115,000-square-foot extension will provide the fans with tiered seating and views over Turns 1, 2 and 3. The three-story building will be introduced in 2027.

Paddock Club Building

Informed Garfinkel, “Happy to share with everybody that we are excited that we’re going to be investing in another big investment here at the Miami Grand Prix. We’re going to be adding a 115,000 square foot permanent extension to the Paddock Club building. Currently at Turn 1, the Casa Tua Trackside Club is a temporary building. We put it up and take it down every year. We’re going to be making a major investment here to extend the Paddock Club building which is currently about 6,000 Paddock Club tickets to what will now be about 9,000 Paddock Club tickets. And that’s just another example of an investment in the sport. We’re only able to do this because we have the long-term commitment and a great partner in Formula 1 and in Stefano [Domenicali – head honcho of Formula 1 Group]. And so that’s why we’re able to do it and we have an owner in Stephen Ross who sees it and says, ‘Yeah, let’s continue to invest and make this better and better every year.’ So, we’re excited about the new building and it’ll be ready for the Grand Prix next year.”

Once the extension is completed the Miami International Autodrome’s total Paddock Club footprint will increase to an impressive 305,000 square feet including a rooftop terrace. This means that over 9,200 guests will be accommodated in the hospitality area making it one of the biggest Paddock Clubs on the F1 calendar.

Precision Drive Club

The upgrades will also include the Precision Drive Club which is a bespoke, permanent space for the exclusive members’ organization. The Precision Drive Club will include facilities such as a workshop with access to the pitlane, coaching and simulator labs, race control, a private members’ lounge, and meeting rooms.

The Paddock Club extension will sit among multiple different viewing options for the fans including the Heineken Silver Veranda, the Hard Rock Beach Club, the new MSC Yacht Club, the Podium Club, and the Vista at Turn 1.

The dedicated facilities will include a workshop with direct access to the pit lane in addition to the coaching and the simulator labs, race control, a private members’ lounge, and meeting rooms. A permanent kitchen will support the culinary program with offerings from a selection of renowned restaurant partners continuing to elevate and expand the dining experience that has helped define Precision Drive Club since its launch in 2024.

Construction of the new extension will be conducted in partnership with HOK+ROSSETTI, a design company with a recognized track record of sports and entertainment venues.
