Penrith Stadium in Australia naming rights Image: Venues NSW

Penrith’s (suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) new world-class stadium will be known as the Helloworld Stadium with the travel professionals to be the inaugural naming rights partner of Sydney’s newest destination.

‘penrithpanthers.com.au’ stated that the Helloworld Travel is Australia’s leading retail travel company with a network of over 2,000 independent travel agents and travel brokers across the country.

The five-year stadium naming rights partnership marks Helloworld Travel’s first sponsorship of a major sporting venue.

Commented Karen McKeowan Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM), Member for Penrith, “The new Helloworld Stadium is an exciting step forward for Penrith and reflects the Government’s commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure for Western Sydney. This redevelopment will create a modern, family-friendly venue that brings the fans closer to the action while supporting the continued growth of sport, entertainment and major events in our region.”

Penrith’s new crown jewel forms part of the Minns (Chris Minns, Premier of New South Wales) Labor Government’s historic multibillion-dollar investment in Sydney’s Western suburbs. It reflects the Government’s commitment to building better communities across Western Sydney by investing in the critical infrastructure and services needed in both the fast-growing and the established areas connecting the local families with jobs, recreation and opportunity.

The Helloworld Stadium will seat 25,000 fans in the sports mode and up to 30,000 for concerts. Currently under construction and set to open in 2027 the project will generate around 500 jobs during construction with more than 650 ongoing jobs supported once the stadium is operational.

Stated Steve Kamper, Sport and Tourism Minister, “With construction of the Helloworld Stadium to be completed and the new Western Sydney Airport to open this year this is an exciting partnership that will take Penrith to the world and create a sport and entertainment destination that supports the local economy year-round.”

‘penrithpanthers.com.au’ further stated that the key features of the Helloworld Stadium include steeper grandstands to bring the fans closer to the action, new videoboards and sound system, more food and beverage (F&B) outlets, increased bathrooms, modern corporate facilities, and improved safety and security. The family-friendly hills have been retained and four gender neutral change rooms will support the growth of Men’s and Women’s sport.

Added Kamper, “Penrith is ready to take off with Helloworld Travel coming onboard as the inaugural naming rights partner of Western Sydney’s newest destination.”

Once operational, the Helloworld Stadium will be home of the Australian professional rugby league football club Penrith Panthers and will host concerts, motocross and other major and sporting events.

The Penrith Panthers are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Greater Western Sydney suburb of Penrith that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL). The team is based 55 km (34 mi) West of the center of Sydney at the foot of the Blue Mountains.

The Penrith Stadium, also known as the Helloworld Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a rugby league and association football stadium located in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. The 22,500-capacity venue is the home ground for the Penrith Panthers who play in the National Rugby League (NRL).

Sydney (Australia)-based the National Rugby League (known as the NRL Telstra Premiership due to sponsorship reasons) is a professional rugby league competition in Australasia which contains clubs from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and New Zealand.

Andrew Burnes Order of Australia (AO), Helloworld Travel Chief and Managing Director, “We’re thrilled to partner with the Venues NSW on this exciting new chapter in Penrith and look forward to seeing Helloworld Stadium become a place that will create lifelong memories for friends and families.”

The venue replaces the original Penrith Park which opened in 1967.

Remarked Karen McKeowan OAM, Member for Penrith, “Importantly, the project is also delivering real benefits for our community – creating local jobs during construction and once the stadium is operational it will also provide a new home for the Panthers and a destination that will attract visitors, events and investment to Penrith for decades to come.”
