SC Bern arena naming rights Image: SC Bern

Swiss ice hockey club SC Bern’s home will continue to be called the PostFinance Arena after the financial powerhouse extended a deal to remain as the club’s main sponsor until the 2026/27 season.

SC Bern said this continues the long-standing connection between Switzerland’s largest ice hockey club and one of the country’s leading financial service providers – a strong sign of stability and trust.

Schlittschuh Club Bern is a professional ice hockey team based in Bern, Switzerland. They play in the National League (NL), the top tier of the Swiss hockey league system.

The PostFinance Arena (originally known as Eisstadion Allmend and Bern Arena) is an indoor arena in Bern, Switzerland.

It is primarily used for ice hockey. It was opened in October 1967 and currently accommodates 17,031 people.

The National League is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017-2018 seasons, the league was known as National League A.

SC Bern said the extended partnership with PostFinance includes numerous exclusive services that position the PostFinance brand prominently in the SC Bern environment.

These include a double box, VIP seats and an extensive contingent of seats and standing room. In addition, PostFinance has secured the naming rights to the PostFinance Arena until 2027.

PostFinance, which is the main partner and namesake of the highest women’s ice hockey league, is also committed as the main partner for the SCB women.

PostFinance’s branding is present in many central places in the arena: from the loudspeaker covers to the stadium entrances and exits to the advertising space on the video cube and the LED ring.

The poster spaces and the logo presence on the backs of the game dresses – both of the National League team and the PostFinance Women’s League team – are also testament to the extraordinary partnership.

This contract extension not only shows mutual appreciation, but also the common goal of strengthening SC Bern sustainably and taking equal opportunities into account.
