New race track in the US Ascent Drive Resort Image: Ascent Drive Resort

The Ascent Drive Resort in Denver, Colorado (US) sets the new standard for speed, safety, accessibility, and variety amongst motorsport clubs.

‘ASCENT DRIVE RESORT’ stated that located on 580 acres of rolling land near Denver, Colorado, Ascent’s crown jewel is a Tilke-designed, 3.75-mile Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Grade-2 road course that is one of the fastest and safest in North America. A 160-acre Off Road Park features a rallycross track, Rubicon Trail-style technical terrain and a Baja 1000-inspired high-speed dirt section.

The Ascent Drive Resort is a holistic and future-proof concept for a motorsport racing, club amenities and mobility technology testing venue located in Denver Colorado (US).

Hermann Tilke is a German engineer, racing driver and circuit designer who have designed numerous Formula One motor racing circuits.

Paris (France)-based the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is an association established on June 20th, 1904 to represent the interests of motoring organizations and motor car users. It is the governing body for many auto racing events, including Formula One. The FIA also promotes road safety around the world.

The Rubicon Trail is a 22-mile-long route, part road and part 4×4 trail located at Sierra Nevada in Western United States.

The Baja 1000 is an annual Mexican off-road motorsport race held on the Baja California Peninsula. It is one of the most prestigious off-road races in the world, having attracted competitors from six continents. The race was founded by Ed Pearlman in 1967 and is sanctioned by SCORE International.

SCORE International is an off-road racing sanctioning body in the sport of desert racing. Founded by Mickey Thompson in 1973, SCORE International was purchased from Sal Fish in late 2012 and is run by its current President and Race Director Jose A. Grijalva and General Manager Juan Tintos.

‘ASCENT DRIVE RESORT’ further stated that other excitement comes courtesy of a Commission Internationale de Karting (CIK)-accredited, 0.8-mile karting track and a 10-acre vehicle dynamics area. The massive facility has room for over 750 grand tourer (GT)-series private luxury car condos, and will host a member clubhouse with pit row lounge, bar, restaurant, and member speed shop. Other features will include an event venue and facilities for research and development (R&D), testing and prestige automotive companies.

Safe Thrills

Taking full advantage of the facility’s massive acreage and rolling topography, Ascent Drive Resort’s road course will provide safe thrills that are unrivaled in the industry. With an average lap speed of almost 100 mph and a top speed of over 175 mph achievable in the right car, piloted by the right driver, it is unparalleled in skill-enhancing, life-affirming challenges. Experience what it is like to drive with the same focus and commitment you’ve put into everything else you do in your life. You certainly won’t have time to text.

Thanks to its FIA Grade-2 accreditation, 40-foot wide safety runoff areas along almost the entire road course, state-of-the-art safety electronics, and energy-absorbing barriers, the Ascent road course will be one of the industry’s safest. This means limits can really be pushed, secure in the knowledge that even the most valuable cars -and their drivers – can emerge unscathed from the occasional moment of over exuberance.

Slip and Grip

Chasing the perfect lap on a road course is incredibly addictive. Going deep into the brakes before trailing down to an inch-perfect apex, rolling to full power as the track opens up before you, feeling the rear of the car take on some attitude. But sometimes, all one want is to throw it sideways, and drive while looking out the side windows. Ascent’s 160-acre Off Road Park is designed for exactly that, with thrilling adventure rides that include a high-speed, Baja 1000-style dirt track, rallycross track, motocross and Rubicon Trail-style technical 4×4 area.

Karting is the basis for most every professional racer’s success and Ascent’s karting offerings are unrivaled in Central United States. A multiconfigurable, 0.8-mile CIK track and separate kids’ karting course mean equal time for enhancing skills and experiencing thrills for all ages.

The massive, 10-acre Vehicle Dynamics Area is a canvas where drift fantasies and the intoxicating rush of autocross precision can be lived. A special, low-friction area allows for Winter driver training under controlled conditions. Combined with Ascent’s unrivaled road course and Off Road Park, almost every imaginable form of on- or off-road recreational driving can be honed by each member of the family.

GT-Series Garages

Ascent Drive Resort’s GT-series luxury car condominiums redefine what having a private garage at a track can mean. Even the most basic GT model, which starts at under $300,000, can hold up to four vehicles. The two-story GT2 and bespoke GT3 three-story offerings are state-of-the-art in finishes, electronics, security, and autonomous vehicle (AV). Pre-engineered, all-metal construction dramatically increases quality, reduces noise transmission and lowers maintenance, while also allowing for future expansion. All GTs feature durable, high-end exterior finishes, multiple levels of finishes and AV and alarm suites. Ascent members can choose from exterior entertainment areas with track views, mountain vistas or both.

The Track

The road course has seven variants, ranging from those that can safely be navigated by neophytes up to the high velocity, 2.95-track, which allows for even higher top speeds. Having two entirely separate pit areas means that the two club tracks of 1.9 and 1.85-mile length, can be run simultaneously, while also introducing new corner entry and exit challenges.
