MLS partners with ticketmaster Image: MLS and ticketmaster

The Major League Soccer (MLS) has entered into a new multiyear agreement that names Ticketmaster as the league’s Official Ticketing Partner. In a move aimed at enhancing its significant growth and momentum, the MLS conducted an extensive and comprehensive evaluation process and chose Ticketmaster as the official partner based on the company’s industry-leading technology, unmatched product and collaborative capabilities.

‘ticketmaster BUSINESS’ stated that together, MLS and Ticketmaster will engage soccer fans in more meaningful ways than ever before. Fans will benefit from a seamless process from purchase through matchday that allows them to use their mobile device to easily access and manage their verified tickets and lets them select the perfect seat through interactive 3D stadium views. Ticketmaster will also work with MLS to develop tailored solutions designed to deepen fan connections through next-gen engagement tools and a customized branded experience.

The Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men’s professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport’s highest level in the United States. The league comprises 29 teams – 26 in the United States and 3 in Canada – since the 2023 season. The league is headquartered in Midtown Manhattan (US).

The Major League Soccer – celebrating its 28th season in 2023 – features 29 clubs throughout the United States and Canada, including the 2023 expansion team St. Louis CITY SC. Starting on February 1st, 2023, all MLS, Leagues Cup, select MLSNEXT Pro, and MLS NEXT matches can be watched through the MLS Season Pass, available on the Apple TV app on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes, and game consoles, and the Web at tv.apple.com. The MLS Season Pass will feature the most expansive and accessible lineup of programing ever for the MLS fans.

The MLS Next Pro is a men’s professional soccer league in the United States and Canada that is affiliated with Major League Soccer. It launched in 2022 with 21 teams and will expand to 28 in 2023. The league comprises 27 reserve sides for MLS clubs and the independent Rochester New York FC.

The MLS Next is a youth soccer league in the United States and Canada, which is managed, organized and controlled by the Major League Soccer. It was introduced by the league in 2020. It is a successor to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.

The MLS Season Pass is the branding used for broadcasts of Major League Soccer matches distributed by Apple Inc. and was launched on February 1st, 2023. The MLS Season Pass features dedicated club pages, offering fans a single destination to find everything there is to watch on their club. Fans can choose to follow their favorite Major League Soccer clubs and get alerts before upcoming games, follow scores in real time and more.

California (US)-based Ticketmaster is the world’s largest ticket marketplace and the global market leader in live event ticketing products and services. Through official partnerships with thousands of venues, artistes, sports teams, festivals, performing arts centers and theaters, Ticketmaster processes 500 million tickets per year across 30+ different countries. Ticketmaster is a part of Live Nation Entertainment.

California (US)-based the Live Nation Entertainment is an American global entertainment company that was founded in 2010 following the merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster. The company promotes, operates and manages ticket sales for live entertainment in the United States and internationally.
