On song Golden Knights play to full house

There was not a single fan in the stands when the National Hockey League (NHL) team Vegas Golden Knights (US) began the season games at their digs – T-Mobile Arena in Nevada, US – in mid-January this year. And, now, for Game 3 and 4 onwards, their home venue is full house as the COVID-19 situation makes a marked improvement in the United States following the vaccination rollout program.

‘Las Vegas Sports Biz’ stated that fans returned with full force to the T-Mobile Arena and the Golden Knights posted a 3-2 win over their peer team Colorado Avalanche on June 4^th (Round 2, Game 3).

The Vegas Golden Knights are a professional ice hockey team based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the West Division. Founded as an expansion team, they began play in the 2017-2018 NHL seasons.

The 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena is a multipurpose indoor arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States, and is the home venue for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, who began play in 2017.

The 2020-2021 NHL seasons are the 104^th season of operation of the National Hockey League. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the regular season was reduced to 56 games and began on January 13^th, 2021. It will end in July 2021.

The National Hockey League (NHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America, currently comprising 31 teams: 24 in the United States and 7 in Canada.

Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon, while addressing a virtual presser recently, stated, “We’re very pleased to win the series against the Minnesota Wild. Our first series victory on home ice. The energy the crowd gave our team was really helpful, special and made it a very memorable night. Minnesota was everything we thought they’d be. It was an incredibly hard-fought series.”

The ‘Las Vegas Sports Biz’ further stated that the Golden Knights have been given permission to increase fan capacity throughout the amended 56-game pandemic season.

The Knights began playing sans fans in January this year, but had their first fans at T-Mobile Arena on March 1^st when 2,605 supporters were allowed in the venue that has 17,367 fixed seats for Vegas Golden Knights games.

Most recently, the Knights were given the nod by the Clark County to have 12,165 fans (70 percent capacity) in the arena for home games against its peer team Minnesota Wild in the NHL postseason Round 1.
