CaixaBank joins Roig Arena sponsor roll

CaixaBank has become the latest Founding Partner of the Roig Arena, a multipurpose venue under construction in Valencia, Spain.

Caixabank said it will join Roig Arena in developing multiple user experiences through activations, technological developments, and hospitality spaces.

The 18,600-capacity Roig Arena, previously proposed as the Casal España Arena, is expected to open in September. It will serve as the home base for both the men’s and women’s Valencia Basket Club teams.

The Roig Arena project has a budget of more than €280 million,

The large multipurpose covered arena will be used for sporting events, as well as entertainment and corporate events.

Through the partnership, Caixabank said it will will strengthen its ties with the city of Valencia and the Valencian Community in a project of great social, cultural, and sporting impact.

CaixaBank is well represented in sports, supporting major events such as the Valencia Marathon and Half Marathon, as well as leading teams such as Valencia Basket Club, Valencia CF, Villarreal CF, and Elche CF, among others.

With a total private investment of approximately €300 million, financed by Juan Roig, president of Mercadona, the arena is expected to be open 365 days a year, hosting sporting, cultural, entertainment, and corporate events, with the aim of positioning itself as one of the leading indoor venues nationally and internationally.

The commitment between CaixaBank and the Roig Arena, initially established for the next four years, will help consolidate the project and position it among the most innovative and modern multipurpose venues in Europe.

The financial institution will have access to its private hospitality spaces, the ability to host events and multiple activation activities, as well as the provision of specialized equipment to equip the Roig Arena with the latest technology in payment systems.
