Cable company ESPN plans to bring a five-day Super Bowl tailgate party with pregame telecasts and fan experience zone to Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney leading up to the National Football League (NFL) championship game at the 70,240-capacity SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California (US) on January 30th, 2022.

‘THE OCR’ stated that the Disneyland resort will play a starring role in the news, analysis and commentary segments broadcast on ESPN in the days building up to Super Bowl LVI on February 13th, 2022.

The Disney California Adventure Park, commonly referred to as California Adventure or by its acronym DCA, is a theme park located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Parks, Experiences and Products division.

Downtown Disney (officially the Downtown Disney District) is an outdoor shopping center located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Bristol (US)-based ESPN Inc. is an American multinational sports media conglomerate owned by the Disney General Entertainment Content, with Hearst Communications as an equity stakeholder. It owns various sports broadcasting operations, including cable channels, a sports radio network, an accompanying website, and other assets.

Super Bowl LVI will be the 56th Super Bowl and the 52nd modern-era National Football League (NFL) championship. It is the final game of the 2021 season and the culmination of the 2021-2022 NFL playoffs. The game is scheduled to be played on February 13th, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

‘THE OCR’ further stated that ESPN will broadcast Super Bowl preview shows from the World of Color viewing area on Paradise Bay at Disney California Adventure from February 9th to 13th, 2022.

ESPN will host a Super Bowl fan experience in Downtown Disney from February 10th to 13th.

Segments of ESPN’s ‘SportsCenter’, ‘NFL Live’, ‘Postseason NFL Countdown’, and ‘NFL Matchup’, as well as segments on ESPN Deportes will be broadcast from a stage set up on DCA’s Paradise Bay with the Pixar Pal-A-Round Ferris wheel and Incredicoaster as a backdrop.

ESPN will broadcast from DCA between noon and 6 pm from February 9th to 12th and 8-11 am on Super Bowl Sunday.

NFL and Disneyland fans will be able to catch a glimpse of ESPN stars during the telecasts – and possibly on the attractions during breaks in between shows.

Among the ESPN personalities and NFL players expected to be on hand: Randy Moss, Tedy Bruschi, Ryan Clark, Booger McFarland, Rex Ryan, Brian Griese, Robert Griffin III, Matt Hasselbeck, Alex Smith, Mina Kimes, Louis Riddick, Marcus Spears, Dan Orlovsky, Matt Bowen, Adam Schefter, Chris Mortensen, Sal Paolantonio, Sam Ponder, Laura Rutledge, and Steve Levy.

Theme park admission and reservations are required to watch the ESPN broadcasts inside Disney California Adventure.

The outdoor Super Bowl fan experience in Downtown Disney will be held from 1 to 7 pm from February 10th to 13th in the esplanade between Tortilla Jo’s and Splitsville Luxury Lanes. The free games, activities and giveaways will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

ESPN will give away a limited number of ‘Postseasoning’ spice blend seasoning – which features a mix of salt, garlic, paprika, black pepper, cayenne, and Korean red chili flakes.
