The planning for the new €300 million multifunctional arena TheDome at Frankfurt Airport in Germany will continue. The sports marketing agency Infront recently received the marketing mandate for the arena. The first events could take place in the multiuse venue in 2023.

Located right at Europe’s third biggest airport and next to two major German highways, TheDOME will be seen by over 100 million people who will be crossing the venue every year. Sports fans will also be able to experience thrilling sports events such as World Championships and European Championships in TheDOME.

Infront, a company of the Wanda Sports Group, has received the marketing mandate for the newly planned multifunctional arena TheDOME. The construction project at Frankfurt Airport is being promoted by TheDOMEbesitz-Gesellschaft mbH and is set to become a national and international attraction for sports and entertainment events.

Once the city of Frankfurt gives the building go-ahead, the project could be completed within two years and the first events could be held as early as 2023. The arena will be able to sit 22,000 spectators, and it will be one of the largest multifunctional arenas in Europe. It will be a futuristic green building, combining the highest technical and ecological standards.

Felix Scheuerpflug, founder and investor of TheDOME, while looking forward to the collaboration, noted, “With the globally networked and active agency Infront, we have succeeded in winning the flagship of the international marketing scene for our project. This further enhances TheDOME. The discussions with the management were always fair, cooperative and targeted. For the economically important Rhine-Main region, we will create a range of entertainment and top-class sports that carries equal value. Large companies are also signaling great anticipation for TheDOME.”

It will not only awe with its modern equipment, but will also be an attraction for sport and entertainment events as well as large corporations as partners thanks to its size, location and infrastructure, both nationally and internationally. At the same time, this would further enhance the attractiveness of Frankfurt am Main. We are proud to advance an exciting and significant project like TheDOME with our experience and expertise and we look forward to a successful collaboration.”
