On December 3rd, the Finland-based telecommunications and consumer electronics company – Nokia – officially opened its multifunctional venue – Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland. The venue was earlier known as the Tampere Deck Arena.

Telecommunications company Nokia and Tampere Deck Arena (Finland) signed a landmark five-year naming rights partnership on November 19th. The contract includes an option to extend the partnership for an additional five years. Europe’s leading multifunctional sports, business and entertainment venue is now called Nokia Arena. The venue has up to 15,000 seats and is the first next-generation arena to be constructed right in the heart of the City (Tampere).

The Tampere Deck Arena, commercially known as the Nokia Arena, is an indoor arena in Tampere, Finland, which opened its gates on December 3rd, 2021. It will host ice hockey games and large cultural events.

Nokia Corporation is a Finnish multinational telecommunications, information technology and consumer electronics company founded in 1865. Nokia’s main headquarters are in Espoo, Finland, in the greater Helsinki metropolitan area, but the company’s actual roots are in the Tampere region of Pirkanmaa.

The ‘Gadget Surface’ stated that Nokia tweeted that the Nokia Arena officially opened its doors on December 3rd.

Nokia hopes to embrace more than a million visitors to the facility annually.

The ‘Gadget Surface’ quoted Nokia Arena CEO Marko Hurme as stating, “This is an exciting time for the arena, and we are very proud to partner with such an iconic brand and technology leader like Nokia.”

Furthermore, Nokia also hopes to implement 5G network in Nokia Arena using its own latest technologies to provide engaging and faster network speeds as well as delivering a unique user experience.
