The Australian professional soccer club Sydney FC have set a first for Australian sport after becoming the first club in the country to offer a fully customizable Membership pack for their 2021-2022 Members.

The ‘Sydney FC’ stated that every Member signed up for the 2021-2022 seasons will have credits loaded against their accounts which allows them a choice of Membership card designs, and pending their package a range of custom merchandise. Each merchandise item can have varying colors and names embellished, allowing for bespoke packs based on age, gender, product preference, artwork style, personalization, years of tender, and a host of other options.

The Sydney Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It competes in the country’s premier competition, the A-League, under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues.

The Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer, Danny Townsend, urged fans to become a Member to access this unprecedented benefit and hailed the new initiative as advancement in the club’s commitment to its Members.

Added Townsend, “Our new eMber+ platform is a huge step forward and once again Sydney FC is proud to be leading the way in Member engagement. Gone are the days of receiving the same standard Membership pack as everyone else. Now you can tailor your package to suit your preferences and how you wish to support ‘The Sky Blues’. There’s a fantastic range of customizable merchandise available and I know I’m looking forward to my delivery in the coming weeks.”

Craig Dyer, Director of TPF Sports, provider of Sydney FC Membership products, said this was a worldwide first and hailed the positive environmental impact the new platform would have.

Added Dyer, “There are iterations of loyalty and rewards platforms globally. But to the best of our knowledge from 18 to 20 months of development and research, we believe this is the first ever platform of its kind and certainly the first for sport and membership-based programs. Our vision in developing the platform is to revolutionize the longstanding pre-determined assignment of resources to Members by assigning credit. This allows them to redeem merchandise and entitlements they deem relevant to them.”

Dyer continued, “This platform also has a strong environmental slant, as we are only supplying merchandise and delivering this merchandise to Members who want to redeem it. Additionally, almost every product is on-demand, meaning we receive Members’ selection based on products and artwork, print them with selected artwork and personalization, pick, pack and fulfill directly to the Members door.”

The platform will be further developed in the coming months and years, allowing for a complete Sydney FC marketplace with additional offers and items available for purchase for Members-Only.
