UROS LIVE Arena promises pulsating moments

It is final: The UROS LIVE Arena is going ‘live’ in December 2021. The swanky arena which manifests as well as celebrate the style of the genius American architect Daniel Libeskind, will come up in the heart of Tampere in Finland. The schedule of the first events to be held at the arena will be specified at a later date.

The partner network operating at the UROS LIVE Arena will also be able start their business operations on the arena premises at that time. The UROS LIVE Arena will serve as the home venue for both Tampere ice hockey league teams – Tappara and Ilves, and the extensive partner network working in the facility will include the hotel operator Lapland Hotels, restaurant operator NoHo Partners, Veikkaus Casino and Lippu.fi.

“It’s great that the completion schedule has now been confirmed, not only for the teams, our partners and the event organizers, but it’s also great news for all the people of Tampere. The arena will be full of life every day of the year, even when there are no events on, and it will be a living room for the people of Tampere,” stated a full of beans Marko Hurme, CEO, UROS LIVE Arena.

Tappara is a Finnish professional ice hockey team playing in the Liiga (top professional ice hockey league in Finland). Their residence is the 5,629-capacity Tampere Ice Stadium in Tampere, Finland. The team has won 14 Finnish league championships with its current name. The team continued the traditions of TBK, who won three national championships in a row in 1953, 1954 and 1955.

Ilves is a Finnish professional ice hockey team. They play in the Liiga and their residence is also the Tampere Ice Stadium. The colors of Ilves, green, yellow, and black, were taken from what was then the coat of arms of the City of Tampere.

The construction video is now available. UROS LIVE Arena’s year 2020 has now been compiled in a video, which shows the progress of the arena construction site from January to December.

uroslive.com sources added that Tampere’s ice hockey teams, Tappara and Ilves, are among the several event organizers who are looking forward to moving to their new home arena.

“Of course, the new home arena is really important for us. The conditions and features are absolutely top-notch, both for the players and spectators. There has never been an arena this great in Finland. We’ll turn a new page in Tappara’s history when the UROS LIVE Arena provides us with world-class conditions,” exulted Mika Aro, Tappara’s CEO.

The game experience and the arena’s easy access in the heart of the City will take us to a whole new level,” Ilves CEO Risto Jalo maintained.

The UROS LIVE Arena will be the main venue for the World Ice Hockey Championships to be held in May 2022 which will be hosted by Finland.
