Moda Center in Portland, Oregon (US) – which can pack in a crowd of 20,000 – has teamed up with Appetize to replace their legacy point of sale (POS) platform.

Moda Center, home to the Portland Trail Blazers, is the primary indoor sports arena in Portland, Oregon, United States. It is used for basketball, ice hockey, rodeos, circuses, conventions, ice shows, concerts, and dramatic productions. The arena has a capacity of 19,393 spectators when configured for basketball.

Hale and Hearty

appetize.com informed that a well-known restaurant brand in the Northeast – Hale and Hearty – collaborated with Appetize to provide a shot in the arm to their operations at all 20 locations in New York City, Long Island and Boston (US). The roll-out concluded in January with POS software that benefits both staff and customers.

Hale and Hearty – Hale and Hearty Soups to be more precise – believes that soup makes everyone feel robust. The soup is made of homemade stock, local ingredients, and absolutely no added preservatives, just fresh, natural produce. Something to be savored.

Remarked Mark Feit, Director of Business Development at Hale and Hearty Soups, “Our goal is to create memorable dining experience at all Hale and Hearty locations, and Appetize has helped us exceed expectations with its cloud technology. The company’s commerce platform is easy to use for our staff, and it significantly improved day-to-day operations, from simplifying orders to providing hassle-free analytics and real-time reports in a convenient management portal – a tremendous leap from our previous system.

Feit added, “Our teams have even been able to perform most of the installs themselves, enabling a rapid deployment even under lockdown conditions. Appetize addressed items high on our list, and we look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come.”

With the help of Appetize’s industry-leading Open API (publicly available application programing interface), Hale and Hearty was able to build a set of best-in-class partnerships to boost their business, including NetSuite (computer software company) for inventory and enterprise resource planning (ERP) management; LevelUp (mobile ordering and mobile payments platform) for a branded app and loyalty experience; and Givex, a platform for gift cards.

To provide an enriching experience to staff and customer at all locations, Appetize also integrated with two new partners: Seven shifts labor management platform for scheduling, communication and time and attendance and ItsACheckmate (integrate over 100 ordering platforms directly to your restaurant POS system and manage all your ordering platform menus in one place) platform for online ordering and delivery integration and menu management.

NASCAR

appetize.com added that to streamline point of sale (POS) operations at the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR)’s pièce de résistance race track in Daytona, Florida (US), Appetize struck a deal with NASCAR. Several other locations will follow in the months to come.

Guests will be able to place orders in a safe manner and with much ease through Appetize’s advanced Interact Web platform, and staff will have an improved experience with Connect, Appetize’s simplified management portal. Both guests and staff can expect handheld devices to order in a more swift and convenient manner.

More than 1,500 POS which were deployed went live in the month of January 2021 and will conclude in June 2021.
