Austin FC and Two Oaks Ventures have initiated a new venture vis-à-vis an avant-garde open air stadium and soccer park in Austin.

The 20,500-capacity venue is expected to go on stream in Spring 2021 and will be owned by City of Austin and operated by Austin FC. Austin FC is the first major league team in Austin and the 27th club to join Major League Soccer (MLS).

The stadium has been so designed to be able to host variety of community and spectator events. The multipurpose arena is being built in North Austin and will boast natural grass playing surface.

Anthony Precourt, Managing Partner and CEO of Two Oak Ventures and Austin FC, stated, “We have set out not only to build one of the most tech-forward, modern and eco-friendly sporting, entertainment and community venues in North America, but also to make it a welcoming and proud gathering place for all Austinites. Once complete, this stadium will be a new home for both Austin FC and our whole community.”

The events to be held range from professional and amateur soccer events – MLS to US Men’s National Team (USMNT) and US Women’s National Team (USWNT) matches to high school soccer; concerts – headliner acts to festivals to smaller up-and-coming shows; community activities and cultural events; and corporate meetings.

The stadium will be located in eight acres of vast verdant space which includes trails and public accessibility and a performance and gathering area immediately adjoining the stadium. The unique design of the venue and its signature canopy structure will shield from rough weather and will help make the entire ambience livelier.

The arena will also feature intimate stadium seating environment, LEED certification status, and three climate-controlled club lounges. Eco-friendly elements will also be put in place like the storm management system.

To give guests an exquisite experience, the stadium will feature key elements that balance Austin’s outdoor lifestyle with a design that maximizes various cooling techniques and airflow circulation.
