UAE-based property developer Union Properties has broken ground on the expansion of its Dubai Autodrome Business Park project in Motor City, worth $7 million, with work officially commencing on Phase 2 of the development aimed at racing teams and other motorsport-based businesses, Construction Week Online reported.

Scheduled for completion in February 2020, and having secured a 100% pre-booking rate ahead of construction, the project’s second phase spans an area of 3,150m2 and will be located close to Phase 1 of the project, which comprises a 5,016m2 facility with 12 business units and home to car racing brands like Lamborghini and Porsche, the report stated.

The project is also close to the 5.39km race circuit at the Dubai Autodrome.

Commenting on the project, Dubai Autodrome’s general manager, Faisal Al Sahlawi, said: “The expansion efforts are propelled by a keen market demand for our products and the undeniable success of Phase 1 of the park.”
