Agustín Morales C. works for Portafolio Inmobilario, a company in Costa Rica which specializes in real estate development and asset management.

Morales C. aver that Portafolio’s purpose is to drive development and “we are very different developers and our main focus is on the long term. We are Asset Managers rather than actually developing the projects”.

Agustín Morales C. is with Portafolio Inmobilario for the last 17 years. He has a degree in architecture and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and Finance which has allowed him to work in various stages of real estate development for more than 15 years.

Agustín Morales C., Director of Design, Portafolio Inmobiliario, Costa Rica, tells ‘Coliseum’ that the planned Costa Rica International Stadium will be a middle market stadium and will wear the badge of Costa Rica’s national identity. It will be a mixed-use project high on the luxury quotient and will serve as the country’s entertainment district – “It will be a neutral ground for integration where it is all about us.”

Portafolio Inmobilario

The Portafolio Inmobiliario is one of Central America’s primary developers for housing projects, shopping centers, offices, and mixed-use buildings throughout the region. The company was founded in 1998 and consolidated in 2003 as a Real Estate and Property Development company with a clear purpose to transform the Cities.

Well-connected

Agustín Morales C. began by stating they decided to build the mixed-use in Costa Rica because it is very well-connected and “connectivity matters. Costa Rica is right in the middle of the Americas. It is only two hours away from Miami and also near to Mexico City”. The entertainment district will come up near the National Convention Center of Costa Rica and there are a lot of hotels skirting the area.

Informed Morales C., “The stadium will be surrounded by mixed-use on all sides. It is going to sit amid verdant surroundings and will be abuzz with activities 365 days/24/7.”

He further informed that their mission is to make the Costa Rica International Stadium “the home of luxury and efforts are on to bring in the best team of Costa Rica – the Deportivo Saprissa – to the venue and make it their home. It will be a 25,000-seat stadium and will enjoy around 6,000 Box Seats of different configurations.”

Wrap-up

Agustín Morales C. summed up by stating, “We want to make the most out of every cubic meter of the stadium, placing a hotel inside the venue, offices and the top broadcasting house will have recording studios inside the arena. We will love to have people the whole year round in the venue.”
